Angela Salmon is the owner and trip leader of Desert Aloha, a service providing day trips for seniors to local places of interest and events, with an emphasis on serving people with early to middle stages of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. She has been working with seniors since 2010, having been the former program director of the Handmaker Adventure Bus as well as the Activity Director at a local non-profit senior living community.
Renee Poirier (POURYAY) has been a Board Certified Music Therapist since 2011, following a long career in the insurance industry. She has focused her practice on working with seniors and especially those with dementia. Renee began doing Music Therapy with Adventure Bus in 2012, and has continued this service with Desert Aloha. In addition, Renee has been a volunteer for outings with Adventure Bus and Desert Aloha.
